King Kone Pre-Roll Machine

How to Use the King Kone Pre-Roll Machine

How Do I Clean My King Kone Pre-Roll Machine?

Can I use the King Kone to fill other cone or tube sizes?

Absolutely. The King Kone was built as a modular system, meaning you can pack a wide range of cone and tube sizes using the same base machine—only adding attachments as needed. A second machine isn’t necessary unless your production volume demands it.

Here’s how it works:

Additional Cone Sizes
Beyond the included trays (84mm, 98mm, 109mm), simply swap in the appropriate tray for alternate sizes like 60mm, 70mm (Dogwalker), or 98mm Slim. No tools required—just slide in and go.

Tube Filling
To run straight tubes, install the Tube Conversion Kit (outer shell) along with a diameter-specific insert (options: 9–14mm). Each setup can fill up to 115 tubes at once.

Metering & Load Control
Pair your tray or insert with a metering tray (0.35g, 0.5g, or 0.7g) for precise and consistent fills. You can also stack lighter fills to build to your target weight (e.g. two 0.5g passes for a 1g pre-roll).

? Why Modularity Matters

  • One machine, multiple formats — adapt to cone and tube sizes without changing core equipment.

  • Lower upfront cost — only purchase accessories as needed.

  • Flexible production — start with cones, add tube capabilities over time.

What cone size trays come with the King Kone machine?

You get two clear trays right out of the box, designed to handle:

  • 84 mm standard cones

  • 98 mm “Special” cones

  • 109 mm King-size cones

That means you can start filling multiple cone formats without buying anything else.

How many trays do I need for the machine?

You only need the tray that matches what you're packing:

  • Comes with two trays that cover 84 mm, 98 mm, and 109 mm cones.

  • Want to add 60 mm, 70 mm Dogwalker, 98 mm Slim? Just get those trays.

  • Packing tubes? One conversion kit + one insert covers the whole run.

One machine, one tray in use at a time.

How do I pack straight tubes with the King Kone?

  1. Purchase and Install the Tube Conversion Kit (outer shell).

  2. Purchase and install the insert you want to pack(diameter between 9–14 mm).

  3. Load up to 115 tubes per run.

  • Pro Add on: Use the Metering Tray and Packing Fingers for flawless fills.

No need to switch machines or worry about compatibility.

How many pre-rolls can I produce in one hour?

Most users hit 1,000+ cones per hour.

How do I register my machine for warranty?

Find the "Warranty Registration" page under the Explore menu, fill out the form to get your 1-year warranty.

Can one person operate the King Kone machine?

Yes — the King Kone is designed to be fully operable by a single person.

Here’s how:

Solo-Friendly Setup:
One person can load cones, run the vibration cycle, and fill up to 169 pre-rolls in under 10 minutes with a smooth workflow.

Optional Tools for Efficiency:
Accessories like metering trays and packing fingers help improve speed and consistency, but they aren’t required.

Great for Daily Batches or Small Teams:
Ideal for dispensaries, small brands, or anyone doing regular production in-house.

? Bonus Tip:
Adding a second person for closing, QC, or packaging can boost output — but the core packing process stays one-person friendly.

King Kone Closer

Do I need a different closer for different cone sizes?

Nope. The Dutch Crown Closer fits all cone sizes—84 mm through 109 mm. Just swap in the matching receiving tray for each run.

What trays do I need for the closer?

  • Use the tray that matches your cone size:

Packing 70 mm cones? Use the 70 mm receiving tray.
Switching to 109 mm? Just swap trays — no new tool needed.

? Your Dutch Crown Closer comes with one receiving tray of your choice.
Need more sizes? Additional trays are available separately.

Why is my closer dropping cones without closing them?

If the closer isn’t properly sealing your pre-rolls, the receiving tray size may be incorrect.
If you're using a custom cone size, we can design a tray to match.

What kind of material does it handle?

Its heavy-duty motor is built for all types:

  • Dry & fluffy

  • Dense & compact

  • Sticky & resin-heavy

No jams or clogs—just smooth grinding.

Can I adjust the grind size?

Not yet. We launch with one optimized grind setting, but multi-size grind options are coming soon.

Accessories

Which metering tray should I get?

We get it — some cone trays work with multiple metering trays, and the chart can feel confusing. Here's how to choose:

? Step 1: Know your fill goal.

  • 0.35g – best for minis or stacking 2–3 runs

  • 0.5g – standard cones

  • 0.7g – mid-size cones

? Step 2: Check your cone tray compatibility.
Use the [compatibility chart] to see which tray works with your cone tray size (e.g. JT Tray, Dog Walker, Slim Reefer).

? Step 3: Choose the tray that hits your target in one drop — or stack fills.

  • Want 1g fills? Run 2x 0.5g or 3x 0.35g

  • Need to stay under 0.5g? Use the 0.35g tray for tighter control

Can I close custom-sized cones or tubes?

Absolutely. We design custom receiving trays in-house for non-standard cones or tubes. Email us the specs, and we'll build it. No need to hack or force-fit.
